Today a tremendous force on my soul is making me write this post. Time ticks as usual, life goes on as usual, however 2 jewels appeared on October 2, which makes this day highly special. And both Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri worked for common cause nation building, building a 'Rama Rajya'.

Gandhiji's fight for equality in South Africa gave hope not only to people of South Africa but as well to India with the able leader who can fight for his people fearlessly. The mantra Raghupati Raghava Raja Raam... eased him to bring much needed unity among the nation. I believe just the truth and non violence are not the key attributes defining him, but the love and fearlessness made him stronger. Looking at today's state of our country, I feel the much needed Gandhi in us is missing. It is a pity that people go to the temple to beg God (not pray) and for only selfish benefits, donate money not belonging to his, and even politicize the temple environment.

On the other hand, Lal Bahadur Shastri not only brought us the food self sufficiency with green revolution, but also identified the need for nation security with this mantra 'Jai Jawan Jai Kisan'. Inspired by Mahatma Gandhi and Bal Gangadhar Tilak, he dedicated his life for this nation.

I hope we recognize their efforts really from our hearts one day, but putting their values in our daily life, and not just in the speaches. The day will be a real enlightening of human values in us.

MAN O Mystic ANimal!!

Sometimes, we wonder what makes man so special that he is beyond animals. Then we wonder what makes few men so special that he is beyond other men.

We all live in a society. Society based on country, society based on caste and religion, society based on the class and color, society based on our activities and so on. Even animals live in society. We have not understood the plants behavior yet, however they too live in groups, may be we call them as society? Basically what I mean to say here is that all of us live in a society. Society, which defines the common goals, rules, what to do and what not to...

With time, every one are completely obsessed with these rules and society. Many a times we are so much bound by the rules of society that we don't really see the other side of the truth. We are so much engulfed by these rules and bindings that we keep ourselves limited. We even stop or oppose the person going out of this box.

But if we read few pages in the past, we see many successful minds have come outside of this mindset, many broke the rules and many have even gone one step further by fighting against the rules of society. Their intention is good, but their thinking and actions are very different from what others do. We call them eccentric... out of mind! But It is this eccentricity which allows them to do what they want to do!!

Movie "3 idiots" is a very good example of this.

Slumdog Millionaire sweep Oscars!!

Good news!! Today "Slumdog Millionaire" - a story of poor boy's rise from slum dwelling to the victory in the game show has made it successfully at Oscars with 8 wins of 10 nominations. Below are the categories against which the movie made its fame.

LIFE - Live In Fired Enigma Meaning this world is itself a puzzle. Something very difficult to understand and is a mystery. Our birth has fired or started our journey in this world where we live without understanding the mystery(birth) in a mystery(world). We go through different phases of life each having its own flavor. Choices and Decisions, Truths and Lies, Rights and Wrongs, Beliefs and Actions, and many other things we try to understand and keep correcting our definition as and when we move to higher stages. This underlines an old and well known adage "Change is the only Constant thing". In these stages, our actions are mainly based on what we find correct, but wait that's just only one view we see and what we perceive, whereas world is multi-dimensional. So the ultimate truth i.e., universe or world is a mystery and we are here living in this mystery.

Great Indian Developer Summit 2008!

Great Indian Developer Summit kickstarted very well this year at prestigious IISC Institute, Bangalore. The summit was a five days event starting May 19th till May 23th with three co-located conferences. Starting with Bleeding-edge .NET (2 days) and Rich Web (day) until Daring Java, it was fully power packed with more than 100 sessions from 60+ speakers and over 3000 technical enthusiasts as audience.

It was Icing on the cake by having speakers like Jesse James Garrett and others. The parallel sessions made the audience to hop between different halls all the time. The summit was a success as it offered incisive insight through keynotes, focused sessions, lightning talks, power panels, Birds of Feather (BoF) discussions, and hands-on workshops.

I am really happy to have attended the Rich Web and Daring Java conferences. The key notes were really impressive which fuelled the rest of the day sessions. Lastly we friends had some nicer fun moments at all the stalls along with the new learnings about the whos doing what...

The summit ended with the Great Indian Developer Awards and Java Teenage party held at impressive palace grounds, bangalore.
