Those twenty minutes...
… of fun we had in the lift… on auspicious Tuesday 17th April… three groups taking the infamous lift 6a1 from 9th floor… with the initial jerks before going down… jaise diya bhujne se pahle jor se phad phadata hai… lucky for group#1 who got down at 4th floor… and again with closing of lift doors… more jerks… resetting all the configuration on the lift. Lift boots up coolly as if nothing happened… aur Sandeep ne haste hue 2nd floor ka button dabaya… firse jerks, socha nahi tha ki yeh lift ki aakhri pal the….
… lift boots but is dead… leaving we two groups hanging in the middle of the building… aasman se tapka aur khajoor pe atka… aur upar se RGA lift company proudly advertising their software.
… lift toh mar chuka, magar hamari kahani yehi se shuru hota hai doston :)… ek group tension mein chup, aur dusre group ko chup hone ka tension… well our group is the second one… miliye kalakar Sandeep, Puneet aur hum… duniya toh najhdeek hai magar hum usse doooor. Making jokes and having fun, trying all the combinations lift has given… alarm works fine, but the lift phone is on cloud 9…. Worried with our group’s joyous mood, the other group dials emergency number for good… security guys can’t hear properly… not because of hearing impaired or phone problem… but because of the better design of the lift to not allow radiowaves or microwaves… that’s good because microwaves are not good for health!!… and hence the other group hands over the phone to us… security still doesn’t understand and makes us a dead lock proposition… security wants us to come outside and talk and we can’t talk outside… Finally hamari cheekne chillane se security samajh jata hai… not sure if it was voice frequency or radio frequency which reached the security gaurds!!… chalo hamara kaam toh inform karna tha aur kardiya… we are now free again to have fun…. I ask Sandeep and Puneet if they have seen movie Shaft; Sandeep and Puneet say Final destination… we all recollect these movies and then in next couple of minutes security arrives and ends the fun.
